When Daughter and Son were younger – much younger – we would end each day with a bedtime story. One of their favorites was a book called The Best Day Ever. It was the story of Easter.
The stone has been rolled away. The tomb is empty. Jesus is alive. It was time to celebrate.
We loved the Christmas story with Baby Jesus and the kings and the “sheep-guys,” but the best story is hearing that Jesus is alive.
Today we celebrate that – Jesus is alive. He is risen. The cross is empty. The tomb is empty. My heart is full.
