Living Hope –
Hope!
For HKC’s Take Me Deeper April 24’s study, I focused on 2 Cor. 4:18,
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen…what is unseen is eternal.”
Fix our eyes on the unseen. What an oxymoron! How can you FIX YOUR EYES on what you cannot SEE?
Faith. Pure and simple faith.
“My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.” Powerful words by Edward Mote, 1797-1874. I used this idea as the foundation for my art today.
A swipe of red in the bottom right corner to remind me of the sacrifice that makes my HOPE possible. The HOPE is below the surface, but it is absolutely vital to the survival and growth of the HOPE on the surface. I cannot HOPE on my own. HOPE has been promised: Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
This lesson meshes well with my Logos365 word for the year: Enough. If I keep my focus on what I cannot see, my HOPE will be limitless. #logos365
We have been given this gift. It is free for the taking. It is available to all. If you need hope, may I suggest that you Meet Jesus? He is the source of HOPE in every circumstance. If you don’t know Jesus, click here for more information.
Grief brings about a loss of HOPE. If you are experiencing a time of grief – from any loss that is real to you: a relationship, a job, health, a loved one – I want you to know that I have been where you are. I have been overwhelmed by grief and loss. Please know that you are not alone. God is there for you, and so am I.
