Power for Living #tmd2015

I’m having so much fun in the Take Me Deeper Bible study! If you haven’t joined up, you should here. April’s prompts all deal with the Resurrection Life, and I’m feeling quite Springy. My art journal pages reflect that, too.

This week I focused on the verses in 2 Cor. 5 (v. 14-15) “For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all and therefore all died. And he died for all that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.”

For Christ’s love compels us…

Compel:

1. to force or drive, especially to a course of action:

2. to secure or bring about by force.

3. to force to submit; subdue.

4. to overpower.

A seed that has been planted grows because it is COMPELLED by the sun.

We should be COMPELLED by the Son.

Are YOU driven? What are you driven to do? What action does the SON’s love force you into? How does He overpower you? What in your life gives you that “I do this because I can’t NOT do this” compulsion?

As for me and my house – we serve the Lord.
