Have you ever wanted to have God with you?
It is possible. And I strongly recommend it!Phil. 4:9 says, “What you have learned and received and heard and see in me — practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”
I know some people who do not have faith. They face every life situation alone. They fend for themselves. They have no hope in anyone other than the face in their mirror. It saddens me.
I know some other people who claim to have faith. They attend church. They carry their Bible around. They volunteer to help with Bible school or other activities – as long as it doesn’t inconvenience them too much. But outside of the church building they speak ill of others. They gripe and complain. They sit in judgement of anyone who doesn’t believe/act the way THEY feel they should. They don’t help others outside of the spotlight. It saddens me.
Christianity isn’t for the faint of heart. It isn’t a “sit back and soak it in while God does all the work” kind of thing. Christianity is hard work.
- You can’t just listen – You have to practice.
- You can’t just receive a message – You have to do it.
- You can’t just hear a sermon – You have to apply it.
- You can’t just see Jesus’ life – You have to mirror it.
You want God with you?
Then get busy. Show Him you’re serious.
Start the work He’s shown you to do, and He’ll step in and join you.
What lessons have you learned lately that need to be put into practice?

Having a real relationship with Him isn’t for slackers! We have to stay on our toes. Thanks for the comment!

What if God could be with you article was excellent. Too often we hear the word, agree with it and then forget about it as soon as we leave church…now not always, but I am sharing a lesson at our local Nursing Home this Monday titled “Lord, I want to know you”. In it I speak about the many ways we can see God, although not in the way we imagine. Practicing seeing him is an excellent addition to what I have prepared. Your message was in inspiration what God has already given me. Thank you. Marilyn

Thank you, Marilyn for taking the time to let me know that my words were on target. How did things go with your lesson?
